The Star Fraction Alliance took sovereignty in YWS0-Z system in Providence following the UK/AAA led victory over CVA. In the weeks following the CVA/Sev3rance withdrawal at the successful conclusion of our own Black Lustrum campaign, the Star Fraction was invited by our Matari allies in the UshraÆkhan to establish a presence in YWS0-Z the better to light a beacon for Freespace settlement in the region and this we did in a matter of weeks constructing the first Freeport in New Providence TAZ Nortlonto demonstrating our endless commitment to freedom and adventure on the frontier with opportunity and commerce for all.
But the revolution can never rest, Providence has been liberated but Jericho Fraction returns to the fight in the Bleaklands invigorated and hungry to the drumbeat of Freedom's driving song. The CVA may have scattered and driven like yellow dogs but the stink of imperialism is on the rise and call to battle cannot be ignored.
Six years ago we were founded with strict NRDS rules of engagement at the heart of our ideology and we have remained true to those principles throughout our long history. Jericho Fraction pilots are disciplined fighters, mercilessly crushing imperialist dogs while respecting neutrality and encouraging free-trade and economic development throughout the star cluster.
We are now opening recruitment to mature and confident individual pilots with an appetite for enduring revolution and the stomach for bright acts of creative destruction. You must be self-sufficient with the enthusiasm required to maintain combat readiness over sustained campaigning. You must be prepared to learn new war-arts and techniques and operate in conjunction with fellow pilots as required by the movement. You must embrace the ideology of the Free Captain, cherish the promise of the endless stars and commit to the struggle against the diseased psyche of territorial restriction and regressive imperial dogma with every immortal breath you take.
Check List for Potential Recruits:
1. Be aware and comfortable of the ideology of the corporation. 2. Be well-spoken and responsible with a mature outlook on the game of Eve. 3. Be prepared to dedicate yourself to the struggle, be active and team-orientated. 4. Be economically self-sufficient, able to commit to maintaining a ready combat fleet of appropriately fitted ships. 5. Have a clean history, no corporate or alliance thefts, no past of scamming or exploiting. No silly or abusive names. 6. Applicants must be 18 or older at the time of application. 7. Applicants must possess no other accounts/alts in other player corporations on acceptance to Jericho Fraction. 8. Have Ventrillo voice communications software and be able to complete a mike check as part of the interview process. 9. Must give a commitment to follow the Star Fraction ROE (rules of engagement) û we do not fire upon neutrals unless fired upon and may only fire first on other targets marked -10 on our alliance standings list. 10. Our minimum skill requirement is around 5m skill-points, (4 months in the game) but focus is important û you will be expected to demonstrate an appropriately fitted shield-tanked battlecruiser in space at the time of the interview.

If the interview is successful you will be invited to trial with Jericho Fraction during which you will make yourself available for combat patrols and alliance musters and be expected to maintain a minimum reship standard at the operations base. Assuming all goes well youÆll be offered full membership on completion of a successful trial.
For successful recruits, Jericho Fraction offers a superb play environment in one of Eve OnlineÆs defining roleplaying corporations. We provide a relaxed and mature player base, excellent logistics and operational support, a massive red-list of imperialist dogs waiting to be removed from their ships and a bright cause of revolutionary mayhem and anarchist liberation waiting to be achieved.
Jericho Fraction pilots represent a broad cross section of experience levels in the game from 100m skillpoint veteran campaigners of the earliest wars in the cluster to bright-eyed bravos seeking their fame from the helm of their first cruisers and battleships.
We are a corporate meritocracy with no restrictions on ambition and achievement and on completion of the trial period you will be invited to play a full role in alliance democracy and decision-making at the open councils of owner-captains.
So, you fancy yourself a revolutionary free captain in the making please make a new topic on the JF membership inquiries forum with ([JERIC] CHARACTER NAME) in the title. Be sure to copy/paste the Check List with answers into the body of your application and include whatever other supporting information about your character and player experience and aspirations you can think of.
After making the formal written application please join and look for our recruiters in the Star Fraction Public channel in-game.
Recruitment contacts for Jericho Fraction include:
Dallenn, Elaron, Kedisa, and Skogen Gump
ôFreedom is the freedom to make a choice from a broader cross section of possibility. Star Fraction is an expression of rebellious vision and stubborn reckless chutzpah in the face of authority. Trust nothing beyond the outcome of healthy cynicism and eccentric individualism combined with reckless passion and the courage to dream.ö û Jade Constantine

A questions if i may. Checklist entry number 10. At the time of interview demonstrate a shield tank equipped BC. I take it if a potential candidate can not meet this requirement - one should not apply? In any case great recruiting post. Best of luck. Alexii.
PS No pasaran to the enemies of the free.
The reason we say that is that during the trial period its best for a new member to be able to immediately fly with our patrols and combat operations and the shield-tanked BC concept we use "aegis" is something that is pretty important. Its not high skill intensive, only takes a few weeks after a trial account and active and eager recruits can expect to be helped out by some of the old timers if they prove a good fit for the corporation.
Mainly we give this direction so we know new recruits have something to aim at and can quickly be assessed during the trial.

Why settle for what we're shown When there is so much more Sometimes the book of law Is only half the story
Means and ends Deciding where to draw the line Loss of work for factory drones Or the threat of hardship yet to come
The choice seems obvious There is no choice Only the option of looking outside This narrow definition of What you see is all there will ever be
There comes a time--that time is now When every second, every day When every action, every though Will tell the world how you cast your vote

We began to change the moment we slipped the gravitational force of nationalism on our home worlds. Our ambitions grew with our dreams as we dared imagine the fruits of immortality in our serial existence. To see beyond the human eye, to breath the scent of birthing stars, to move with a whisper and stride across the light years dividing our regressive past from bright Diaspora to come.
But some of us feared to change; they would cling to the territorial borders and familiar hierarchies electing themselves wardens and prison-guards for the baseline populations of the worlds below. These immortals with fiery swords and closed-minds were dedicated to the status quo, to keeping knowledge from the gaze of the lesser beings they despised while claiming to ôprotect.ö
And others changed too much; some revelled in destruction and murder, like maddened beasts they roamed the stars seeking answers to their empty hearts in the senseless bloodshed and carnage. Like wayward children without a parentÆs guidance they wanted only to announce they existed and paint a primal scream on a tapestry of petty violence and futile teenage rebellion.
While some few, we called terrorists by the witless, pirates by the power-slaves, idealists by the lost, and naive dreamers even by those we love. We strive with our heart and passion to embrace the opportunity chance and technology have combined to grant us. We feel the Disapora and it calls us home across the stars, but we hear the voices of the enslaved baseline multitude and we cannot turn away.
So we fight We fight for freedom We fight against stasis We fight against ennui and descent into savagery We fight against ignorance and fear We fight against those who would take us all to darkness
We fight Or we die
Rage against the dying of the light new immortal Weapons and nuclear fire cannot kill us Only surrender can do that

Since the builds have been very much in discussion on our Core Impulse campaign thread here's one of the tech1 module cruisers we like our recruits to be skilled for at the time of application so they can quickly involve themselves in alliance combat ops.
(these are ships designed to be flow in 6-10 pilot groups and so aspects of the fit complement the other cruisers.)
AX Festival Class Annihilate Thorax
3x Regulated Ion Phase Cannon 1, 2x Regulated Electron Phase Cannon 1 1x Y-T8 MWD, 1x JF prototype WD, 1x F-392 Baker Nunn TD (tracking speed nix) 1x800m tungsten plate, 1x damage control 1, 1x EANM 1, 2x Gauss field balancer 1 full loads of caldari navy faction antimatter M in the guns. 500 spare ammo in the bay. 1 optimal range disrupting script. 5x Hornet EC-300 (group) 5x Warrior I (group)
The principle here is cost effective fit (no modules that are more than 10-20% more expensive than the tech1 vanilla mixed with a good balance of firepower and electronic warfare capability. In this case the Thorax has direct fire dps from its guns, and may use a flight of lights for anti frigate work. It can minimize enemy turret fire with its tracking disruptor module and can join the rest of the flight in applying ecm drones to enemy logistics, high dps missile or even carriers!
Total equipped reship price to SF members is around the 6m mark. And the corporation tends to keep a hundred or so prepped and ready for immediate reshipping. We believe all new trialists need to jump straight into combat and learn the nature of the corporation as early as possible. We play this game to fight ideological foes with guerilla tactics and combat smarts. The "annihilate" class of ship is a significantly threatening vessel when employed in numbers that nonetheless represents a very unglamourous kill for our enemies. Its also the perfect learning platform for younger pilots to discover the thrill of pvp in JF tags.

Jericho Fraction is a revolutionary movement seeking political change in the universe of Eve online.
We believe territorialism is a mental disease. We believe it afflicts the leaders of organisations in Eve. We believe rather than building a new society these leaders are perpetuating the old. We believe somebody has to make a stand.
We believe politically exclusive territorial claims are wrong. We believe neutrality should be respected and neutral shipping should not be the target of territorial policing. In essence, Jericho draws no distinction between the operations of ôpiratesö and territorial alliances operating a NBSI (not blue shoot it) methodology. Further we believe that individuals, corporations and alliances should not be pressed into line by the insidious force of standings enclosure (insisting particular 3rd party standings be adopted on pain of hostility) we believe institutional corruption renders this policy no more than a tool in the arsenal of tyranny and of no benefit to honest trade.
The philosophy we espouse is ôrespond in kindö. That is to say we respect those who respect us. We return fire where it is offered and we repay hostility with hostility. We maintain a stubborn independence of thought and approach and we absolutely distrust and reject the diseased mentality of mob-ethics, territorialism and standings bullying. Jericho Fraction pilots are disciplined and rational; they fight for self-defence and to make the point that things can be different. We donÆt have to be mere drones in the vast hive of somebody elseÆs machine.
As an entity Jericho Fraction is the fighting vanguard of this movement. We honour and promote this philosophy but we donÆt own or control it. Other corporations in the universe of Eve may well live as we do, other pilots respect and repay neutrality in kind, other corporations may live free and avoid battle and that is their choice û it is not ours. We exist to show that independence and freedom of thought is not mere vulnerability. That rational interaction is not the refuge of the weak and that individuality of spirit can be the strongest force in the universe.

Pilot Name: Jade Constantine (Born Jacqueline dÆVance-Meyer, Yulai system)
Jade is tall (5Æ10) dark olive complexion, slim of body and hips, mixing classical Gallente looks with the darker colouration of more diverse genetic stock. Moving with assurance of a planeside born and educated individual, Jade is slightly ungainly in freefall and prefers artificially enhanced gravity systems and managed habitats. In social situations Jade affects an air of refined elegance befitting the product of an aristocratic finishing school background, and is very much a person to consider and weigh the import and correct deployment of words and mannerisms, preferring always to maintain at least the surface appearance of social decorum.
Good and evil as concepts are redundant in the main, but can be mapped to general systems of enlightenment or repression and as such jadeÆs commitment to a free culture and open future for humanity edges her self-esteem past the neutral. That said there is a hard edge and unforgiving brutality in her politics, and raw capitalistic appreciation of market dynamics can seem cruel to those used to protectionist systems and governmental intervention. Evolution as a meme is a prime mover in her thinking, and since the post-human societies of Eve are virtually immortal in fact as well as aspiration there is a certain lack of empathy for physical hardship and mortal ending.
On a personal level Jade is rarely cruel and speaks with respectful language and careful courtesy, but where the future of society is concerned she sees lives and potential in memetic terms, often artificially influenced and reduced to statistical operations.
Quirks:
- She speaks all Gallente, Amarri and Minmatar dialects perfectly, though too prone to Received Pronunciation and linguistic affectation to pass as a native in other than Gallente aristocratic circles.
- She practises the standard forms of Federation Intelligence martial arts and self defence regimes and keeps a high standard of physical fitness, carrying her aptitude with an understated poise and elegant deportment. In training sessions it has been commented by her instructors that she enjoys the sensation of being struck a little too much.
- She maintains a non-executive warrant with Federation Intelligence and high security clearance despite having contested a legal claim against FedIntel 2 years ago from a secure holding cell in an Ammatar asylum.
- She is a sensualist and bon-vivant, much prone to the pleasures of the flesh and seductions, intellectual and physical, shameless and indeed somewhat glorying in the cultural mores of mainstream Gallente taste. Often cited in the holotabloids for current affairs and shameful antics with the intelligentsia of varied cultures, she is particularly drawn to Amarri females.
- She suffers from a non visually-impaired form of Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS) that manifests in the visual perception of meme systems and memetic contamination of ideological material. Though typically minor, these episodes can lead to detachment and alienation and minor paranoia. The condition is a holdover from the work she did for Federation intelligence a decade ago and was involved in the legal case contested so infamously in the public eye.
Why she became a pilot:
Jacqueline dÆVance-Meyer was trained at great expense for special circumstances intervention on behalf of the Federation at several of the most exclusive schools and academies on the Gallente/Amarr border regions, she also received mental and physical conditioning to best utilise VR and simulated environments and survive and flourish under extreme physical and mental duress in real time. None of this included specific pod-acclimatisation, however, and she is an extremely late learner in this regard.

Though the events that led to her incarceration in the Ammatar Asylum are categorised top secret FedInt-injunction level data, what is known is that the patient ôJadeö (genetic ident, Constantine VII strain, prime bloodline) walked free from the clinic to a pension from Federation Intelligence with honours, and a 10million isk training grant to acclimatise to Pod operation and Starship command techniques.
Investing the money in the robotics trading routes on the Domain to Khanid run, she earned her first 100million isk from the command bridge of a Bestower-class industrial and used the capital to found Jericho Fraction in partnership with the Caldari industrialist Darantil, the Minmatar hunter Yvonne Pyros and the mysterious Amarrian mystic, Athule Snanm. As to the why?
Well, the secrets are written in the heavens quite literally, for Amarrian faith and Gallente poetry conjoin yet in the mysteries of the bright double-helix of stars.

As a pilot in Jericho Fraction, guerrilla combat against territorial alliances will be a lifestyle and enduring challenge. We believe fiercely in the power of our ideas and the rectitude of our cause, but we are but a tiny minority across the Eve star cluster. The territorialist influence is very strong on the frontier, and most people in lawless space are subsumed as mere cogs in the in the great wheel of alliance hierarchies. The prevalence of this outmoded mindset on the frontier certainly creates challenges for the pilots who fly for the cause of Jericho Fraction.
But you donÆt become a revolutionary to get rich or be safe. If youÆre interested in joining Jericho, you shouldnÆt be lacking in guts or a devil-may-care spirit and should love freedom for its own sake. As a member of Jericho Fraction, we promise you a life of challenge and cat-and-mouse contest against the vilest entities in the Eve cluster. We promise you war and strife and death and carnage aplenty. If you have the stomach for the fight, youÆll never lack targets or notoriety.

Until our most fantastic demands are met, fantasy will be at war with society. Society will attempt the supression of fantasy, but fantasy will spring up again and again, infecting the youth, waging urban guerrilla warfare, sabotaging the smooth functioning of bureacracies, waylaying the typist on her way to the water-cooler, kidnapping the executive between the office and home, hiding in the chambers of high office, gradually tightening its control, eventually emerging into the streets, waging pitched battles and winning (its victory is inevitable).
We are the vanguard of fantasy.
Where we live is liberated territory in which fantasy moves about freely at all hours of the day, from which it mounts its attacks on occupied territory.

sometimes revolutionaries get asked to do the strangest things, once I was asked to perform a wedding:
Quote: "... In five years of leading revolutionary anti statist guerrillas and fighting imperialist pig dogs the length and breadth of the star cluster this is perhaps the strangest duty IÆve ever been asked to perform.
Truly the concept of marriage in and of itself is a regressive one, terribly rooted in the baseline drudgery of pre-Diaspora planetary culture.
A tool of Patriarchs and autocratic authority, a meme of control and restraint, the binding of minds and hopes to the chains of past generations and obligation to the future societal norms of terminal hierarchy à all this and more.
But then again, itÆs a mistake for the post-human to deny everything that raised the individual to immortality and near omniscience through technological grandeur and visionary courage.
Just because we have moved beyond the borders of the nation-states and their societal limitations is no cause to lose sight of the power of love and devotion between two minds and hearts and bodies entwined in joy and mutual adoration.
We are still human, in part, in the best parts perhaps. We have human thoughts and human desires, we rejoice in the union of love, in the camaraderie of war-companionship, in the nobility of cause and striving and all the dreams of better worlds to come.
We have left mortality behind but not the pleasure and aspirations of the mortal flesh.
We have left slavery and statist corruption below us but we love the ceremonies of glory.
We have left the tyranny of individual consciousness but each of us knows the power of desire.
We are in truth, every inch the adventurers who forged the way to the stars, we quest for truth and courage, we fight for justice and name, we strive against evil and bitterness and we trust our friends, our comrades and our lovers with our tender hearts and unspoken dreams.
Posthumanity has not forgotten the art of love. And love has not forgotten us. So we come together today to celebrate a union between immortals, a marriage of gods, a joining of consciousness and aspiration and hope well known to us all.
These individuals are pledging their faith and love and joining their fates and hopes beneath the endless tapestry of stars.
We steal the memetic detritus of collapsed imperialist malaise and forge anew the promise of warrior-companionship and erotic excess signified by formal union. Fight together, die together, be reborn together and scatter the gutter assemblage of puling nationalist dogs whenever they dare raise their bitter arms against you."

Our war is not a campaign of road-blockers and petty robber barons, itÆs not a war of control towers and sovereignty, itÆs not scored on cyno-jammers and bridges, it has nothing to do with control and domination.
Our war is the war of ideas and bright allure of hope and brightling dreams. Our victories are counted every day we do not slip to the morass of mediocrity and submissive adherence to blind NBSI and clockwork territorialism
Our truest victory is in perseverance and keeping the beacon of hope alive. We have fought across the length and breadth of the New Eden Star Cluster and strived with every breath to grasp freedom and independence across the tapestry of stars.

Once upon a time we did guerilla public relations for fledgling freespace proto-alliances in the depths of nullsec:
On the defection of M0RPHEUS from the NVA to Forsaken Empire:
Quote: " ... Perplexed but not without voice, the gathered consensus of the free-captains of Venal ruled simply that M0RPHEUS was a mooncalf fool to be pitied and never henceforth paid the honour of wide consideration. No tyrants rule in Venal and for a man to name himself thus and far thereafter was a simpletons gambit, doomed to a unlamented end.
For his part M0RPHEUS stormed out of the assembly and returned to his chambers at the MorduÆs Legion facility in 5ZXX-X system. Where he remained for the next 24 hours plotting, planning, perhaps contenting himself alone with the presence of past trophies and all the booty of a long piratical career û or so at least we charitably believed.
The next day was to be his last in Venal. M0RPHEUS had reached a decision; for if the free-captains of the Venal Alliance were not to join his bright deluded crusade for smalls dominion in northern Caldari space then clearly, his former comrades and corp mates would have to be destroyed!
M0RPHEUS contacted mOo Corp, then Sinister, then wildly, thrashing like a wounded bovine yet himself, made preparations to betray the Venal Alliance by keen execution of cunning ploy and all the devastating martial talent his shattered dreams could summon.
But fortunately for our hopes and dreams extent however, the vengeance of M0RPHEUS was not a matter of great note, and aside from the slamming of doors and looks to sour milk that matter was swiftly concluded in a teacup storm of little real account.
Now in the wake of the manÆs departure we take stock and weigh the cost of this defection; and not a cost in fiscal or comradely loss mayhap, but perhaps in price that mOo might one day ask in fair exchange for taking this inflamed buttock-boil of a man from our company to their own!
But stranger indeed and solution to an earlier mystery yet combined was found when Jericho agents cut away the bulkheads to circumvent the defences protecting his personal chamber at the MorduÆs Legion base. It was clear at once that M0RPHEUS expected one day to return, and clear beyond at the last the root of his fixation on broad piratical hostility to Gallente fashions; for from floor to ceiling and about three walls from point to point, were containers and display cases showcasing the very epitome of modern designer underwear for discerning ladies of taste and fine discernment. Thousands of dainty panties nicely pressed and neatly hung, hundreds more frilly slips and lacy wisp apparel strewn with artful wide array, plain knickers of star cotton weave, dark silky g-strings of doubtful ancestry, and everywhere, the signs and signifiers of one manÆs dark ambition to possess the totality of clear obsession.
Here my friends, amongst the panties of a hundred worlds did M0RPHEUS conceive his plans for far dominion and domination of the trade lanes, here yet, his body laid in fervent exultation did this man turn from all that is bold and valorous and true to the worship of dark infamy to feed the wanton hungers of the night. How sad the tale of wanton brigand turned to lowly knicker-thief, and a cautionary note milord and ladies of the outer worlds, controlled in thy passions and excesses both betimes is truth and true advice to have. Obsession has only one destination and broad ridicule is the name.
M0RPHEUS, Venal bids you farewell!"

Originally by: Legget Norc This sounds incredible..but..your checklist precludes me from joining. I'm Gallentean, and fitted for armor tanking :(
Variety is the spice of life.
We do use quite a few armour tanked concepts as well. Our battleship line tends to the passive armour buffer with guardian suppport and megathrons, abaddons and tempests can work well. We are also currently experienting with armour hac/t3 variants for a medium gang style, also armour buffer and afterburner/lowsig. Ishtars/proteus can work well here.
But even as a Gallente pilot I think you would be well advised to gain a degree of shield tanking and off race weaponry skills for variation. One of my favourite gallente ships the Myrmidon battlecruiser works beautifully as a laser or autocannon armed shield tanker in a scimitar supported fleet.
Stealth bombers (nemesis is great) work well with ab+medium extenders and the total training time for the shield defense component is neglible.
So I really wouldn't worry too much about gallente specialiation being a problem and just consider that shield defense skills add neccessary variety to your combat arsenal and eventually you'll need to learn them.
Any other questions you have I'll be pleased to answer.

Excerpts from Terminus-Est.
Quote: ... The problem for your assessment Keorythe is that weÆve played a part in the campaign for the last three months and know precisely how your expressed opinion of the UshraÆkhan switches from extreme to extreme depending on your latest attempt to divide-and-rule or denigrate their capabilities. All that is being posted now from Sev3rance is a fresh (well I hesitate to call it psyops) shall I just say initiative to try to vent your (considerable) frustrations on Star Fraction at your own disappointment at not being able to hold space in Providence without the more or less full time support of a larger power (CVA). Its rather painfully transparent and something that is noted by the huge majority of neutral commentators on this thread.
Still, onto your point about the Towers. You are missing the point. While TRI were tying up CVA we had capital ships in KBP and you couldnÆt counter them without CVA support. This whole discussion is about me saying that Sev3rance was on the point of defeat and was saved ultimately by the TRI pullout and CVAÆs full intervention in your favour and thus far absolutely nothing posted by any Sev3rance speaker on this thread has disputed this analysis in any substantive or credible way.
What you describe as ôcontemptö for the Star Fraction is something I read as ôfearö, ôfrustrationö, ôangerö. I mean honestly Keorythe. WeÆve been at war for close to three months now. YouÆve had a lot of time to bring to fights to us on your own if you were capable of such a thing. And I promise you, IF I ever felt ôcontemptö and ôloathingö for a enemy as you profess to feel for Star Fraction I wouldnÆt be content to let them base two jumps from my ôcapital systemö without significant attempts to dislodge them from the foothold with some good old-fashioned space combat.
I acknowledge we have probably earned your hatred Keorythe. We came to providence to settle a score with you (and in the process bring the CVA to the realization they needed to defend a ôholderö alliance 24/7). You attacked one of our ships in the spring, in return weÆve destroyed an estimated 28billion worth of your shipping. Driven whole corporations from your alliance, destroyed an allied alliance. WeÆve prevented you from growing and exploiting the space you were given. WeÆve made it impossible for you to travel freely in space. Your mission-runners, ratters, traders and industrials live in fear of us. WeÆve certainly brought the pain to KBP so I acknowledge Keorythe. You are right to feel upset and angry. But if you can see through those emotions then at some point you probably need to see through to the true cause of your pain and the mistake that led you to follow the CVA standings regime and attack a (then neutral) Star Fraction vessel in the service of your Amarr overlords. I wonder if granted the power of foresight back then if that Sev3rance pilot would have rather respected our neutrality and held fire.
Who knows?

Eve online is a big place and pretty daunting for the new player taking their first steps in the dark and dangerous territories of the new frontier. Political polemic, deadly manipulations, treachery and character assassination are rife, people play internet spaceships very seriously and perhaps itÆs no surprise that the single-server environment has made legends of despised villains as often as its lauded community accomplishment and high minded idealism. Still thatÆs Eve end of the day, itÆs a special game and in the brutal melee of rhetorical flourish and Machiavellian invective youÆll find some gemstones too.
In my time in Eve playing the ubiquitous anarcho-terrorist made first CSM chair Jade Constantine, IÆve found the community around the game to be capable of great feats of creativity and long term dedication that sometimes takes the breath away with the scope of endeavour and almost fanatical devotion to this game universe. Hell, it was precisely this creativity that sucked me into the game in the first place when a friend showed me the Taggart Transdimensional (TTI) site back in the first weeks of retail and I was astonished by the depth of the thing. There is a wealth of player made content provided to this game universe; some great forums for general discussion and politics and rumours and interactions. There are great resource-sites for roleplaying, for developing the game background and for promoting and supporting any of the specific career choices the posthuman capsuleer can undertake in the New Eden Cluster. In short, thereÆs flourishing community out there to support a game thatÆs more than seven years old in retail and still going strong.
So be armed, learn to gather the information you need to prosper in New Eden, take the advice of wise pilots and prepare yourself against the risks and dangers to come. Deprogram your statist brainwashing and prepare you for heights of revolutionary zeal!

Way back at the beginning of the game Jericho Fraction was involved with an alliance in the north called the Venal Alliance. We tried to encourage free-space thinking and open commerce but war overtook us all and we ended up feuding with Taggart Transdimensional Corporation and having a civil war. Our side won the civil war and founded a new alliance called the NVA (new venal alliance) û for a time it was a functioning free-space alliance but was ultimately betrayed by some of its own, and by the intrigues of certain corporations (Oberon, RONA, CDI, Occassius Republica and others). The betrayers destroyed the dream of the NVA and formed a new closed space alliance called the Phoenix Alliance under Halseth Durn.
Jericho Fraction was exiled and served a time in the wilderness of Empire politics but eventually returned to the north stronger and more dynamic hoping for a peace of honour and return to open space policy (but fully prepared for war). PA proved every bit as venal as it had in times before and betrayed our allies in Reikoku Corporation thus setting the stage for the Great Northern War.
Jericho was instrumental in forging a broad anti Phoenix Alliance consensus that we called NCA (Northern Coalition of Allies) and in 5 months the PA was pretty much ruined and destroyed. All of the target corporations we named in the war-declaration were exiled from the North (RONA, CDI, Oberon) and the remaining PA lived the life of guerrilla fighters amongst the lonely stars.
The victory was not as complete as it could have been however. Some of our allies had left NCA when the work was perceived to have been done and went on to form Band of Brothers as a pvp-centric alliance of allies. Quickly BoB became embroiled in hostilities with other NCA era (and NCA successor) interests and Jericho saw her allies fighting and feuding in the dust of the Phoenix Alliance.
Obviously this all gave time for the PA to recover a bit, and under CochiseÆs (20th Legion CEO) leadership they pulled up their socks and reformed a meaningful government and played diplomacy well to ultimately dominate the consensus of the post GNW north. At no stage did this incarnation of the PA actually pose a thread to the Band of Brother corps, but with BoB engaged against other former allies (such as the NSA (Northern Stars Alliance) and daily losing ground in diplomatic backscratching it seemed that what the NCA and BoB had won in firepower and conflict was lost in cold-war and influence-peddling.

JF is a very rare corporation for several important reasons û chief amongst these being the roleplay ideology and our vision of free-space and free captaincy that actually follows through into every aspect of our organisation and actions in-game.
We arenÆt just talking hot-air and pseudo nationalist froth here, when we talk about our rejection of territorial values and standings enclosure we mean it. ItÆs our roleplay and our combat ROE, our identity and our diplomatic yardstick û itÆs hard, very hard sometimes to live up to these values but itÆs a worthy challenge and something to be proud of.
In very real and literal terms it does make us better than those who slip into NBSI and neutral shooting for shootingÆs sake. It means we still have values, we still have vision, we still have the personal pride that comes from standards and ethics and the reason for existence that stems from a long-term cause beyond our own fleeting excitement and adrenal kicks.
But this stuff makes us pretty much unique in the cluster. We are a corporation that doesnÆt bow down to the orders of tyrants, there are no exceptions to our ROE standards û anyone who offers us hostility with no recourse will end up set to -10 KOS and freely targeted û BUT, with this bullish commitment to our own freedom and independence comes the recognition and respect for the freedom and independence of others: we are no slaves of tyrants, nor tyrants ourselves, and for a corporation of our age and wealth and capabilities that is a completely unique organisational trait.
Personally, I have a very dim view of NBSI (the ideology) I think itÆs a loserÆs admission of unimaginative mediocrity to be blunt.
I think itÆs a statement that the people adhering to the policy have resolved their inability to act as adults in the game world and simply fallen to a currently prevalent majority belief that ganking is god and all must fall and worship at the altar of the great Killboard spirits. Its dull, its derivitive, its following the lowing bleats of the herd without daring to think of something original.
IÆve heard tales of corporations that boot out people that donÆt get a certain number of kills each week and use the killboard as their organisational tool to achieve this judgement...
No wonder that the poor combat pilots cry for NBSI engagement rules since it allows the weak and uncreative combatant to ensure their quota is filled on hapless novices and unprepared 0.0 tourists. Talk about turning space-operatic suspension of disbelief into the mindless drudgery of the call-centre - don't we play games to get away from that rubbish?
NBSI is as weak as it gets, symbolising nothing more than a bankrupt corporate ideology that has taken the easy route to finding weaker opponents to stave off the knowledge of its own weakness and lack of ambition.
Do something different. Stand up. Dare to Dream.

What is it like to uphold ideologies and thus a play style that, in some ways, runs counter to the way EVE is designed, particularly in terms of game mechanics like sovereignty and holdings?
Well the frank answer is we attract a better standard of recruits by appealing to staunch individualist heroes with an interest in confronting mob-mentality and hive ethics in the virtual space of EVE. Star Fraction has never been a place for conformists or drones, we want people with the guts to take a stand and be something more than just a number in the endless blob fighting of 0.0 sovereignty conflict. I guess it's a taste thing end of the day, but I've never really understood how people can enjoy working the cubicle environment of the modern office during the day only to come home and get told what to do by some jumped up "space manager" in the evening too! Horrible, and my message to all those willing EVE-slaves is to rise up and throw off the shackles, strike out on your own and realise that you don't have to line up in ranks at 06:00 for POS defence just because some jumped up space control freak tells you to.

Perhaps you believe that capsule pilots do nothing between bouts of combat? Maybe the fact we can calculate engagement parameters more efficiency than the most powerful computers in a fraction of a second real-time has no baring on our ability to consider the implications of posthumanity on future cultural development? That our accelerated senses and enhanced processing/analysis mind hardwiring just shuts off between calculating hyperspace jumps and navigational data? You have to admit that seems unlikely.
IÆve lived an accelerated consciousness now for almost eight years. In that time IÆve had the opportunity to consider virtually every philosophical treatise on the nature of society known to my culture in the spaces between wars and rebellions and guerrilla fighting on the frontier.
And you know what? ItÆs all pretty much useless. We arenÆt following a path or pattern known to the ancient world. We are trailblazers in an unknown country and nobody really knows what itÆs all about. Any philosophy for dealing with the new cultures we are building need to start at ground zero. Us, you and me and how we interact. Everything else is affectation.
You talk about capsule supremacy as if itÆs a lifestyle choice and thatÆs about as inaccurate as anything else your ancient philosophies have to say about the present.
IÆve seen capsule pilots trying to pretend that nothing has changed and they are just ordinary men and women of their nations and nobody really buys it.
We donÆt even speak the same language any more. We donÆt use the same currency. We donÆt have the same issues; we donÆt have the same mortal concerns.
Sure some capsule pilots pretend to nationalism as a hobby, but thatÆs just the Gods dressing up as mortals to screw with peopleÆs heads like great Zeus romancing wanton maidens in a swan suit!
Nobody can be a patriotic martyr without the actual dying bit. These people you see claiming to be Amarri nationalists or Caldari fighters or whatnot are just tourists trying to remember what it feels like to care for a flag. The truth is their minds are thousand years beyond that already and the memories are just so much useless baggage in the neon glare of posthuman futureshock.
And this is the crux really, if you try to place Star Fraction ideology in the context of baseline humanity it wonÆt make sense. It canÆt, itÆs like considering the impact of a universal datasphere on Neolithic communes û the ideas arenÆt compatible. You canÆt apply the philosophies of mortal, territorial, co-dependent nation-states with the posthuman metahumanity of the capsule revolution. There is no startpoint to the comparison, no common language of argument and no useful ethical calculus available for you to gage the comparison.
This is something new. The only argument you and I really have is whether the shadow ideologies of puppetshow nationalism that the reactionaries cling too have any more relevance to our new culture than a childÆs security blanket has to the future galactic diaspora to come.

Most importantly itÆs necessary to return to an awareness of the Jericho Fraction ideology as a composite abstraction forged of the union between out of game player expectations and in-game fictional rationalisation of background conflicts and characterisation:
While the ôchanging mindsö objective is of course still the be all and end all of JF currency in aspiration, there is a difference between changing minds on a player level, and changing minds on a character level. Players owe each other some respect as fellow players, rules of the game need to be followed, common courtesy, civility, fair-play, etc etc, all rules of interaction that we as properly socialised adults are bound to honour and recognise.
Characters on the other hand have different rules, standards and roles in the process of furthering Jericho FractionÆs ideological agenda:
Firstly, the character is an abstraction, itÆs a playing piece, a token, an element imbued with significance by the playerÆs ownership, but it is not the player û thus an attack on a character is not an attack on the player. Even a roleplayed character is not the player. I donÆt care in the slightest for people who claim otherwise, misguided numpties each one. The character has different world experience, different environmental influences and a much shorter/limited/focused slice of developmental freedom to enjoy.
Secondly, the character lives in a different universe to the player, the New Eden cluster is a far future science fiction backdrop with tens of thousands of years separation from 21st century human ideals and background. Growing up in the Federation or State, Republic or Empire is so radically different from our real life experiences of childhood and maturity that itÆs ridiculous to draw close parallels between these experiences for the purposes of drawing social examples and ethical guides.
Thirdly, the character is challenged by technology in ways the player is not, cloning and memory transference is a major spiritual and ethical debating point for our characters. Enhanced perceptions of capsule management, radically speeding up our view and understanding of data, instantaneous communications, the immortality of other personalities around is. All these things take the characterÆs perspectives and awareness of society away from our mundane expectations on the pure player level. So, an example is the nature of death and atrocity. In our world a terrorist makes a point by blowing up a building full of the ôenemiesö of his or her culture then blows him or herself up in a gesture of faith in their religion. This is about the most powerful statement that can be made. Individual lives are ended; the perpetrator dies in pursuance of a cause. One feels disgust, hatred and abhorrence for the deed, anger at the society that spawned such impulses, fear at the reach of such passion and evil perhaps. But itÆs powerful. It creates a legend or mythology by destruction and ending of individual consciousness. And that is our reality as players.
As characters in eve, operating inside the capsular caste, we have a very different reality. We are all post-human by definition. We live an accelerated life-time, we train and grow and develop our skills and perceptions 10x faster than baseline humanity on the planets below. Our perceptions of the universe are broad and godlike, we can talk to anyone we want to instantly, we can analyse and scan the contents of solar systems and our single consciousness tied into ship systems can double, triple, radically enhance the physical characteristics of starships.

Take a look at something as mundane as merely increasing the fitting the engineering characteristics of a vessel: Jade Constantine taking command of a Raven Class battleship allows a vast increase in overall capability; trebles the damage potential of weapons systems, doubles the shield strength, increases speed and manoeuvre capability, enhances sensors and electronic warfare strength massively and basically allows the physicality of the vessel to transcend its design specifications by an incredible degree.
In real world terms thatÆs like a US Captain taking command of a Ticonderoga Class Aegis Cruiser and making it 3-4 times as effective in battle. Incredible to be honest, it makes our characters more than human. Something of a melding of Artificial intelligence level transcendence in processing power and divine perception of the local battlespace and universal datasphere, itÆs a huge ability to interface with machinery and computing power and should not be underestimated when discussing the ethics, morality and examples pertinent to post-humans in the New Eden Cluster.
Now letÆs talk about those ethics. A capsular ôsuicide bomberö drives his attack cruiser into a mining operation of newly graduated capsule pilots learning their craft at the Eve university. He blasts some of them, and then triggers a self destruct killing his own vessel and popping the rest of the capsules in a gesture of violence and apparent murder. Dramatic maybe, but hardly as affecting as the real world parallel even if removing the distinction between game and reality as a thought experiment û the simple problem is that from our perspective as characters in the New Eden cluster nobody is dying.
Well, letÆs correct that. Nobody post-human is dying, at least not from our perspective: crews of the ships die of course, and that does rather enforce our separation from baseline humanity even more. One cannot function as a capsule pilot without hardening emotions to the plight of baseline human crewmembers û otherwise youÆd never engage in battle, never accept targets from agents, never obliterate hundreds of pirate ships etc etc.
The fact the ethics of this situation are conveniently forgotten by the huge majority of capsular caste reminds me of the viewpoint of godlings on Olympus or meddling in human affairs from the perspective of Valhalla.
We have sympathy for these baseline mortals, after all we used to be them. Some of them will become gods like us. But itÆs impossible for a god to truly empathise and understand the plight and experience of the mortal without putting aside his or her godhood for a time and walking with the frailty of baseline perception to remind us.
And hearing these ôgodsö talking of baseline humans and founding their arguments and debates on the perceptions of the mortals is a form of ridiculously devalued infant-gabble as offensive to intellectual honesty as a natural history thesis utilising anthropomorphised animals discussing their habitats and mating rituals in blue-rinse middle class dialectic and allusions of romantic comedy. And worse than that even, I should have said à ô(to our perspective) nobody posthuman is dyingö. Because of what happens from the perspective of a capsule pilot who is killed in the action? At the point of physical death the burning scanner reads the mind state and transfers the data (or more accurately the remaining copy of the data) by a subspace beam to a prepared clone ready to receive the incoming copy of the memory and mind state. LetÆs look at that process in detail.
Imminent capsule failure Burning scanner locates tight-beam link to offsite clone for recovery Mind-state is read and copied in the transmission buffer Reading process corrupts (destroys) the physicality of the pilotÆs mind Neurotoxin ensures death is painless and immediate New clone consciousness awakens at the recovery site. Continuity of personality exists to the perception of the rest of the universe

Continuity of personality exists to the perception of the rest of the universe
But, does continuity exist to the capsule pilot? Well, I think it does obviously, as does anybody else who has been re-cloned following violent death, but then ôIö would think that wouldnÆt I? ôIö remember past lives and past deaths. Yet here I am today, alive and conscious and able to discuss these things. But is it really me?
Is it really the person who grew up amongst baseline humanity and learned to operate capsule systems and take out that first clone-contract? Did ôme/sheö die during the first violent capsule systems failure in H-pa29 all those years ago and was ôI/sheö killed when a M3G4 battleship bombarded the fragile shell of the capsule with relativistic rail gun shards in one of the opening battles in the Venal Civil war?
Point is; death isnÆt something that happens to other people any more. If my corp-mates lose their ships and capsules and die then do I notice the change? Rarely if at all, and the continuity of their existence is preserved for my viewing pleasure and ease of posthuman relational dynamics.
If I have an enemy in the posthuman fraternity of capsule pilots I canÆt just shoot them anymore and expect to win the argument through violence and domination. I canÆt threaten to shoot them to death if they donÆt do as I say and think that ends the matter. I canÆt commit an atrocity and expect the whispered news of multiple murders to provide an example to underpin my power any more.
The continuity of my enemyÆs individuality continues on regardless. Death has become more than personal but of singular interest only. Other people are immortal. We might be singular, but what an existence given our current perception is the only mortal aspect of an endless divine congregation of ideas and experience. Perhaps we are gods that create a memory for a day and we are that memory.
So, the bottom line here, discussing ethics and morality and the process of education becomes ridiculous to the point of farce if you draw examples crossing the boundaries of baseline and posthuman society and experience. The gods on Olympus cannot debate philosophy with Aristotle in any meaningful way.

From the Termius-Est campaign, week 2, the darkest day.
After the heights and triumphs of week one Terminus Est, week two would be strong reminder that victory and glory can be fleeting and even the best laid plans can come to nothing but tragedy and disaster with tens of thousand revolutionary dead and debris fields strewn with the broken remnants of shattered starships and fallen Free Captains.
Truly a dark week for the Star Fraction and her commanders and warriors, a massive toll in blood and death was paid for our commitment to the cause in Providence and the resources of our organization sorely tested in sequence of desperate battles and fleet actions leading often as not to slaughter and destruction at the hands of a united Slaver Providence bringing vast legions of warships to secure their iron hand on the grips of power.
Defined and redefined again, our strategists struggled to find *****s in the armour of CVA fleet tactics and deploy our limited numbers successfully against the odds, but each occasion led to significant material loss and cruel lessons burned into the psyche of the captains seeing their crew exposed to hard vacuum and proud hulls buckled and blacken under the laser volley fire of Amarrian formations.
This week is a tale of Star Fraction defeat. We make no bones about it. There is no way to soften the message or spin the record of ships destroyed and lives lost to any other conclusion. WeÆve been through the worst seven days of material loss in our history, billions of isk committed to horribly outnumbered fights and dozens of proud battleships broken to radioactive ash in the cold illumination of the Providence stars.
Not at the height of the Great Northern War, or during the long march into purgatory in Curse, or even in comparison with the appalling massacre of QR or in a dozen lesser wars, has the Fraction taken such losses in a short period of seven bloody days. Never in our history have such battles come in rapid succession and tested our resolve and stubborn instinct for raw survival in this bitterest of causes, never before have we seen entirely fleets obliterated so completely and yet watched our comrades plunge back to the fray with hearts undiminished and dreams still whole and burning with passion.
These have been the worst of times and the best. This is the fulcrum of conflict, the height of the storm, the cause that matters. And yet we stand unbowed.

In younger pilots, we seek a quick and fearless mind; everything from guerrilla combat techniques to effective propaganda dissemination can be learned with that foundation. We expect our newest pilots to fight from their first days in the corporation and formal membership will only later be offered to those who prove themselves willing to devote themselves to this cause.
In more experienced pilots, we seek candidates with sustained enthusiasm, a genuine desire for combat and a thorough knowledge of the workings of EVE. We expect our veterans to provide an example to the younger recruits and fully engage in the struggle against territorial oppression on the frontier.

But thou, O word, so clear, so strong, so true, Thou sayest all which I for goal have taken. I give thee to the future! Thine secure When each at least unto himself shall waken. Comes it in sunshine? From the history of Terminus-Est...
We are guerrillaÆs gents; we are outnumbered, outgunned, and currently out-classed in battlefield technologies. We are insurgent freedom fighters with light weapons and conventional comms while our enemy has (rapid transport infrastructure/jump bridges) (satellite surveillance/system scanning) (major artillery support/cap ships) û the battlefield is no longer ôfairö or ôevenö. If we fight fair we are going to die like absolute chumps.
We have to wake up, wise up, and very quickly adapt to this reality because the longer we doze in complacent self-destructive haze the more comfortable the sitting Sev3rance dogs will make themselves and the less pressure we can bring to bare on their health and wellbeing.
In some ways this is going to be hard on us. I know this. I as much as anyone in this alliance feel an absolute burning urge ôto fight!ö to hurt the enemy, to sally forth and smite the regressive snakes that dare show their faces in space whenever they are found but we all have to control this urge.
In enemy primetime, 18:00-24:00 hours, we never win a fleet battle in KBP. This is fact, even if we do well we never hold the field. The numbers are too great in the enemy camp, their reinforcements are too secure, and even if we did miraculously manage to turn the tables they now have the option of battlefield nukes (capitals and dreadnaughts) which given the fully operational cyno jammer we have absolutely no answer too. These kinds of fights are things we are just going to have to avoid and refuse because we honestly donÆt want to be fighting a prepared enemy under any circumstances. I donÆt want to be hitting and running even in an environment where even if we score kills we donÆt get to loot the wrecks and our own wrecks are lost to us. We really have to see this in the light it truly is.
WeÆre guerrilla fighters. If we commit to a field battle against a conventional enemy we are going to lose. And even if we do equal damage but are forced to quit the field ôwe loseö. We ôloseö because this kind of battle is a shot of junk in the arm to Sev3rance morale. We ôloseö because any wrecks created are gained by the enemy. We ôloseö because the only way we can ôwinö is clean strikes with zero losses and a clean escape.
I donÆt want us to be fighting their soldiers when they are formed up and dug in with artillery support and system scanners and bubbles and all that crap.
I want us to kill these guys when they are on their own, trying to move kit, trying to rat, trying to set up cans, or when simple boredom forces them to take stupid risks. I want no fair fights. I want their ratters damped down to nothing, jammed, webbed, scrambled and helpless and executed like dogs in the wreckage of their ships.
I want Sev3rance to despise our cowardice. I want Sev3rance to weep tears of frustration that we ônever engageö I want Sev3rance to make CAOD posts lambasting US for never fighting anything but ôganksö. I want Sev3rance to say weÆre worse than UshraÆkhan, weÆre nothing but filthy opportunistic, cloak-using, ecm-whoring, damp and jamming unfair fighting murdering bastards. I want to hear all that and know that somewhere in their hearts is the shadow of fear and breaking resolve as they realise their gig is up and this thing has gotten real.
Seriously.
Make this your motto, print it out and post it on the wall above your monitor.

Send another diplomat please!
Next a surprise û private communications traffic from CYI indicated their apparent desire to surrender to the Star Fraction with immediate effect pending their acknowledgement of total defeat and upcoming renunciation of Federation loyalties and nationalist sentiment. CYI diplomat ôHatchö contacted The Cosmopolite with apparent earnest intent and proposed an immediate ceasefire pending receipt of whatever terms we saw fit to impose.
Now this really threw our military planning into some consternation: weÆd planned for a long war, 2-3 months certainly given intelligence estimates of the CYI fleet stockpile and economic assets in space and station-side. The thought that they might be prepared to surrender after a mere handful of losses and no serious engagements at all had never crossed our minds û and so we now had to give serious thought to the terms weÆd ask at this stage of the campaign. Still, we did it, we offered Hatch the document that CYI would be expected to sign and acknowledge and we asked for repayment of the concord war-declaration fees for what would then prove to be a complete waste of the administrative fee given less than 24 hours of fighting.
Several hours passed without response, and then additional intelligence from within CYI indicated that Hatch was not actually representing the hard core of Cyrene nationalism within the alliance and was probably out of step with the leadership itself. Certainly the remaining CYI pilots showed no intention of giving up the fight and it appeared our surrendering diplomat was something of a lone voice in an alliance full of regressive belligerents after all.

Seven days and a couple of billion worth of ship losses was all it took to force a humiliating surrender from this bunch of piratico-territorialists who claimed ownership of a low-sec pocket in Domain region.
The target alliance were routinely attempting to use the corp swapping mid combat exploit to attempt the concording of our ships to little effect.
In the end they decided to run out of their alliance in the hope we would leave them alone. Whether we do remains to be seen.

Quite naturally, holders of power wish to suppress wild research. Unrestricted questing after knowledge has a long history of producing unwanted competition. The powerful want a "safe line of investigations," which will develop only those products and ideas that can be controlled and, most important, that will allow the larger part of the benefits to be captured by inside investors. Unfortunately, a random universe full of relative variables does not insure such a "safe line of investigations."

This time around I think I'd have quite a lot in common with the iterate now! crowd. I think areas of the game have suffered from lack of attention for years now. Faction Warfare has been left untouched more less. Alliance management tools, treaties in 0.0, t3, soverignty structured etc.
I was a great fan of Mynxee's improve lowsec agenda last time also and I think I would be pushing on the CSM to get a full cycle expansion focused on lowsec, to improve the experience of players from faction warfare to piracy to micro industry and bounty hunting (years ago we had some excellent proposals written for a full-featured bounty hunting profession and that really does need implementing).
My personal feeling for why the game of eve is getting a bit dry now is there is not enough movement or motivation encouraging players to take risks. 0.0 is a pretty static aristocracy that exists with its supercaps and jumpbridges and rarely needs to expose itself to risk - there needs to be a role for small gang intediction of economic infrastructure there otherwise its simply boring stasis. I'd go so far as to say we rollout delayed local in 0.0 immediately and see how it works - its been tested in w-space for years now, lets see how the impact is felt in 0.0.
(dead macro-ratters and far more paranoid big alliance members for sure)
But that is only one side of the equation. Lowsec needs to be made more interesting and profitable to draw adventurous hisec dwellers to take a risk because the profits of there to be taken. I'd like to see faction warfare expanded and given more conseqence so that occupancy matters. I'd like incursions to be improved and for CCP to have the courage of their convictions with spreading incursions, genuine hisec gate camps and disruption when they spread, and to keep on exploring ways of demonstrating impact to the game world.
Eve for me is never more alive than when the politics and events happening somewhere are felt by the player base as a whole. I hate it when it feels just like any other game of instancies and micro universes off in their own isolation.
So what I would see more than anything is ways of seducing players into interacting with each other, beyond their comfort zones and triggering competition, cooperation, and outright conflict through the dynamism of the gameworld. Giving people more reasons to fight or help each other.

In any agenda, political or otherwise, there is a cost to be borne. Always ask what it is, and who will be paying. If you don't, then the agenda-makers will pick up the perfume of your silence like swamp panthers on the scent of blood, and the next thing you know, the person expected to bear the cost will be you. And you may not have what it takes to pay. -Quellcrist Falconer

First week in Ostingele has been pretty brutal with local pirate alliances uniting to oppose our intervention and combat has been hard and cutting. But our logistics prevail and we prepare for the long months of battle ahead.

Hate the grind of oh-so-serious-business "professional pvp corps" that treat eve killboard-padding like a job?
Are you fun, sexy, stylish with a wicked sense of humour and genuine ability to laugh at the absurdities of the system (while blowing it to ****?)
Do you despise the hypocrisy of NBSI corps that claim to want more targets then NAP every threat in sight (often while hiding in a station)?
Want to find an environment where original thinking is encouraged and you can fit a small neutralizer on a drake if you want too?
Be an individual, mean more than your killboard stats, wind up the serious-business elite pvper's a treat every time we score a victory and laugh about it with good friends?
Jericho Fraction is a small-gang pvp corporation recruiting pilots to join the Free Space revolution in New Eden.
Six years ago we founded with NRDS ROE at the heart of our philosophy and we have remained true to the principle throughout our long history. Our identity is pledged to the struggle for self-determination and rejection of all imposed authority. Our pilots define themselves in space by courage and cunning in the face of more numerous regressive foes pressed lockstep to the demands of their debased masters.
Our corporate ideals are expressed through our politics and the active choices we make in-game. We are anarchists seeking the overthrow of collectivist folly, we are guerrilla heroes seeking liberation of human spirit, we are radicals and provocateurs, freedom-fighters and partisans. We see the big-battalions of the recidivist fleet and we strike from cloak and deadly surprise, picking off the weak and humiliating the clumsy giants of tyranny and escaping to sing the songs of victory in the company of our fellows.
In-space we practise innovative tactics and guerrilla techniques to bring war and liberating violence against those who profit from oppression and deny free commerce to the post-human capsuleers of the star cluster. We hunt our foes in fast skirmish ships, we run black ops insertions into the enemy heartlands, we deploy captured Amarrian battleships to unleash the pure coherent enlightenment of our lasers, with escalation protocols ranging from EW supremacy in ghetto cruisers to fullscale capital deployment and strategic cruiser supremacy as target and need arise.
Jericho Fraction pilots are disciplined fighters, mercilessly crushing imperialist dogs while respecting neutrality and encouraging free-trade and economic development throughout the star cluster.
We recruit mature and confident individualists with an appetite for enduring revolution and the stomach for bright acts of creative destruction. Our comrades are self-sufficient and enduring, prepared to learn new war-arts and techniques to operate in conjunction with fellow pilots, while embracing the ideology of the Free Captain as they light the liberating fires of battle in New Eden.
Recruiting check-list:
Attracted by the ideology of the corporation
Friendly and mature outlook on gaming
Active and team-orientated
Economically self-sufficient
No thieving, scamming or exploiting.
18+ at the time of application
No accounts/alts in other player corporations/alliances
Have Teamspeak 3 client installed and tested
Commitment to follow the Star Fraction ROE
At the minimum new Jericho Fraction pilots should be skilled to fly armor and shield buffered battlecruisers and begin stealth bomber training (if not already certified) on application. All recruits should be prepared to accommodate new fleet concepts and training priorities in their skill planning ahead.

The assault on "Argos" starbase and the defeat of another would-be enclosurist power.
The Moira corporation "war with the star fraction" thread is the thread that keeps giving. Very amusing to look back and see the various voices who were "betting" on Soter's forces from day one.

"The most absurd apology for authority and law is that they serve to diminish crime. Aside from the fact that the State is itself the greatest criminal, breaking every written and natural law, stealing in the form of taxes, killing in the form of war and capital punishment, it has come to an absolute standstill in coping with crime. It has failed utterly to destroy or even minimize the horrible scourge of its own creation." -Emma Goldman

The Revolution Will Not Be Televised
You will not be able to stay home, brother. You will not be able to plug in, turn on and cop out. You will not be able to lose yourself on skag and skip, Skip out for beer during commercials, Because the revolution will not be televised.
The revolution will not be televised. The revolution will not be brought to you by Xerox In 4 parts without commercial interruptions. The revolution will not show you pictures of Nixon blowing a bugle and leading a charge by John Mitchell, General Abrams and Spiro Agnew to eat hog maws confiscated from a Harlem sanctuary. The revolution will not be televised.
The revolution will not be brought to you by the Schaefer Award Theatre and will not star Natalie Woods and Steve McQueen or Bullwinkle and Julia. The revolution will not give your mouth sex appeal. The revolution will not get rid of the nubs. The revolution will not make you look five pounds thinner, because the revolution will not be televised, Brother.
There will be no pictures of you and Willie May pushing that shopping cart down the block on the dead run, or trying to slide that color television into a stolen ambulance. NBC will not be able predict the winner at 8:32 or report from 29 districts. The revolution will not be televised.
There will be no pictures of pigs shooting down brothers in the instant replay. There will be no pictures of pigs shooting down brothers in the instant replay. There will be no pictures of Whitney Young being run out of Harlem on a rail with a brand new process. There will be no slow motion or still life of Roy Wilkens strolling through Watts in a Red, Black and Green liberation jumpsuit that he had been saving For just the proper occasion.
Green Acres, The Beverly Hillbillies, and Hooterville Junction will no longer be so damned relevant, and women will not care if Dick finally gets down with Jane on Search for Tomorrow because Black people will be in the street looking for a brighter day. The revolution will not be televised.
There will be no highlights on the eleven o'clock news and no pictures of hairy armed women liberationists and Jackie Onassis blowing her nose. The theme song will not be written by Jim Webb, Francis Scott Key, nor sung by Glen Campbell, Tom Jones, Johnny Cash, Englebert Humperdink, or the Rare Earth. The revolution will not be televised.
The revolution will not be right back after a message bbout a white tornado, white lightning, or white people. You will not have to worry about a dove in your bedroom, a tiger in your tank, or the giant in your toilet bowl. The revolution will not go better with Coke. The revolution will not fight the germs that may cause bad breath. The revolution will put you in the driver's seat.
The revolution will not be televised, will not be televised, will not be televised, will not be televised. The revolution will be no re-run brothers; The revolution will be live.
